ABOUT US

Specialists for the complicated deals.

Why we exist.

Real estate runs best when the title is clean, sellers are aligned, and paperwork exists. When any of those assumptions break, the system breaks with it. The seller has a property they can't sell. The attorney has a case that won't close. The realtor has a lead they have to turn away. The investor sees a deal but the title is difficult to navigate.

Problem Real Estate Group exists for exactly those situations. We buy the deals that are hard to close — because we've built the expertise, the patience, and the playbook to work through complications and create win-win scenarios with owners and peers.

We're not for every property. We're for the complicated ones. That's the whole brand.

OUR VALUES

What we stand on.

If we can buy, we say so quickly. If we can't, we say that too. Plain language, no jargon, no wasting your time.

Straight talk

Integrity

We do what we say, and we don't disappear. You'll get a real answer, a referral, or an honest pass — never silence.

Compassion

For a family, a stuck property isn't an asset — it's a weight. We lead with relief, meet people where they are, and treat hard situations with care.

Tenacity

We run toward the deals others won't touch. Some take time and patience; we're built for that, and we work at your pace until it's solved.

OUR FOOTPRINT

Texas and Kentucky.

We operate statewide in Texas and Kentucky.

If you have a property outside our footprint, let us know, we still may be able to help.

WHO WE ARE

The people behind the work.

Todd Hyden

FOUNDER

Todd founded Problem Real Estate Group with a distinct mission: to tackle the real estate market’s most complex challenges. With a background in civil engineering and a passion for business, Todd brings an analytical, diagnostic approach to the property market. Where others see dead ends, Todd specializes in finding structural paths forward for distressed assets—particularly those burdened by clouded titles, fractured ownership, back taxes, municipal liens, and IRS liens.

He thrives on solving "unfixable" problems, turning legal and financial headaches into clean slates and smooth, stress-free exits for property owners.

When he isn’t untangling complicated property issues, Todd loves spending time with his wife of 14 years and their four children, staying actively involved in his church, and cheering on Texas A&M football.
